Summer Sewing Plans 2025!

What a heat wave we are currently having!

Bumped to the top of the list for my summer sewing plans is a swimsuit – the Sunstar swimsuit from Helen’s closet – but in this week’s new video (posted down below) I’m also sharing other sewing plans I have this summer, including refashioning projects and patterns I am currently working on too!

Great for those who want a bit of a nosey at what’s going on behind the scenes!

I’ll update this post as and when projects get completed with an overview of each, so you can see the progress!

Sunstar Swimsuit – Completed Early July 2025

I did it! I made this swimsuit up in a bright pink fabric, and lined it in white. My original plan was to make the top reversible and two pairs of swim bottoms – one in each colour! – but I didn’t read the instructions through first to make sure it would work, and then realized far too late that it wouldn’t. Heigh ho!

Eve Tokens

Eve Tokens (aka The Creative Curator) is a fashion designer, creative pattern cutter and sewing pattern designer.

Eve graduated with a 2:1 in Fashion Design from the University of The Creative Arts in the UK, has a BTEC diploma in Creative Pattern Cutting, a Foundation Degree in Art & Design from Wimbledon College of Art and gained extensive experience in the fashion industry by interning and freelancing for London based fashion brands - Hardy Amies, Roland Mouret, Peter Pilotto and others.

As well as running her own small sustainable fashion brand, Eve started sewing aged 13 in 1993, and has many years experience sewing and making clothes for herself, family members and clients since.
