Learn to Sew Online Course
I am so excited that my online sewing course is available for sewing beginners!
Created for those who would love to sew their own clothes, but still feel overwhelmed at where to start, my online beginner sewing course will guide you gently through a variety of lessons that will help you feel confident using your sewing machine.
You can pay in one payment of £100 (approx. $135) or four payments of £25 (approx. $32)!
Why I Created Learn to Sew

I am really excited about this online sewing class.
I hear from many sewing beginners that they are tired of figuring things out from random sewing tutorials on YouTube.
While I have provided a considerable amount of free sewing tutorials here on my blog, and my own YouTube channel, I know that many people prefer to learn with video lessons and get help from an actual real person.
Who Should Join My Learn to Sew Course?
This beginner friendly sewing course is for you if:
- You were given a sewing machine, but it’s been stashed in the back of a cupboard since the first time you turned it on and then immediately back off again!
- You long to sew your own clothes, but you worry that turning your sewing machine on and getting it to work is sure to result in somehow sewing your fingers together…
- You think a bobbin is some sort of children’s toy that gets wound up and up, and you struggle to grasp how a bobbin relates to a sewing machine.
- You think a sewing machine will go so fast, that you’ll sew right through your fingertip and never be able to use that hand again.
Well, I jest with the last two of those reasons, but I know that when it comes to learning a creative skill like sewing, it is always easier to learn and progress when you have a person gently guiding and supporting you. And I want to be that person helping you on your sewing journey.
What My Learn to Sew Course Will Give You…

Once you have completed this online sewing course, you will be able to sew with confidence using a sewing machine.
You’ll know how to use a sewing pattern, from selecting the size to printing and using it.
You’ll be able to choose fabrics for sewing projects with more confidence than you feel now.
You’ll be able to sew your projects with a variety of professional looking finishes, including inserting zippers!
What You ‘Get’ From Learn to Sew Course
In terms of the ‘getting’ part of taking an online sewing class, let’s look at what is included in the course.
Weekly Lessons
Each week you will be provided with a module of lessons on a Friday afternoon. This allows you time to work through them over the weekend and early weekday evenings if need be.
The modules are broken down for them to be on topic each week, and then build upon the previous week’s lessons.
And each lesson is as short and succinct as possible, while still teaching you the skill needed. I’m not here to waste your time or mine, but to provide you with the sewing skills you’ve been wanting.
PDF Workbooks
I know that some people like to write things down, and read while out and about, so I will be providing PDF workbooks as the lessons dictate.
PDF Sewing Patterns
As this online sewing class has a structure to it, I will be providing PDF sewing patterns for you to practice your skills. These will be available in A4 and US Letter for print at home and in A0 to print elsewhere when it makes sense.
Discussion Forum
For those who like to be sociable with their sewing, you can also join the discussion forum within the course area to ask questions, get feedback and connect with other sewing beginners!
How To Join Learn to Sew
If you’ve made it this far and are excited to learn to sew, then you can join the next Cohort of the course by visiting this page on my shop website.
Below the headline ‘Join the Course’ you’ll see a yellow box with my face in it, and the two payment options. I’ve added a screenshot below, which you can click and it’ll take you right to that spot.
Choose whether you want to make one payment of £100 immediately, or four payments of £25 (the first is paid immediately, and then three more monthly on the same date) and then hit the join button! A window like the one below will pop up.

You can then create an account. You need to create a password that is 10 characters or more. It’s how Squarespace works (who I use to host my online shop, as they’re VERY secure and well known).
Once you have an account, you can input your payment details, any gift cards or discount codes, and then hit review and purchase. You’ll then be taken through to the course area, where you’ll find (on the 5th September) the first week’s module released.
And that’s it! I cannot wait to help you on your sewing journey! Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
