Creating a circle skirt pattern from the template pack

Easy to Use Circle Skirt Patterns

Who doesn’t love a circle skirt? They’re easy to sew, and can be super simple or incredibly dramatic, depending on the fabric you choose to use and the event you’re planning to wear a circle skirt to.

I have a pack of circle skirt templates in my online shop, for just £7, which makes it even easier to make a circle skirt, whether you want one made form one panel or as many as sixteen. Yes, it’s an epic pack for anyone looking for circle skirt patterns.

But, as not everyone is keen to print of just one or two pages for a template, and would rather print out an entire circle skirt pattern consisting of dozens of pages, which they then need to glue together before they can use it ( 👀) I did some research and gathered together the best circle skirt patterns that you can buy… but I recommend saving yourself time and paper, and using my circle skirt templates pack instead!

Full Circle Skirt – Sew Over It

Sew Over It Circle Skirt Pattern information

At the time of writing, the full circle skirt from Sew Over It, is available for £14. Their sizing is in two bands:

  • 6-20
  • 18-30

It comes with details on three zipper insertion methods, which is handy for those who have never sewn a zipper before.

I’ve used Sew Over It patterns before, and they have great instructions.

Odette Dress – Veronica Tucker Patterns

While this is a dress pattern, Veronica creates patterns that are super versatile, so this pattern can be used to make a circle skirt too! I actually have this pattern in my stash, and made up the dress as a hacked wrap dress in red linen. It is gorgeous.

The Odette Dress is available in sizes 6-24. Veronica only sell her patterns in PDF format now, and at the time of writing this pattern is $35AUD, which is approximately £17.

You can check out the Odette Dress pattern here.

Ziggy Skirt – Dhurata Davies

A three quarter circle skirt, the Ziggy Skirt is a fun take with panels for the main skirt and a deep hem band too. Great if you’d want to play with graphic pattern with your fabric choice!

Ziggy comes in sizes 4-24, and costs around £11 for the PDF pattern.

M8510 Skirt – McCalls

I don’t really use sewing patterns from the big four. I prefer to support the indie designers. But if you are in need of a paper pattern rather than a PDF print at home option, then the M8510 skirt from McCalls is a great option for a circle skirt pattern.

The issue I have with the ‘Big Four’ is that the sizing is generally in bands, and you have to purchase the size band you fall into. Not great when your body size fluctuates (as mine does at my time of life) and at over £13 for the paper pattern, I’d rather just use my own template and get it done quickly.

You can get my Charlie Circle Skirt templates pack right here!

Hopefully you’re inspired to make your own circle skirt. I’d love to know which one you go for, and what fabric you plan to use too! Let me know in the comments?
